Technical Expertise and Processes

CASRAM produces high-precision components of non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium, copper, casting and various special alloys. Besides 5-axis-milling and turning according to the customer’s drawing, we offer grinding, die sinking and wire cut EDM, heat treatments, galvanic coatings and surface treatments, such as passivation, electropolishing and neutralization.

Quality Control

Besides an accurate choice of materials and professional workmanship, quality control is amongst the foundation of CASRAM’s succes. According to your needs, CASRAM performs destructive and non-destructive testings and elaborates 3-D inspection reports and material certification sheets.

Service

Our service includes technical assistance for our customer's projects, as well as high flexibility even for smaller lots, including the supply of first article inspection reports (FAI), pre-series production batches, up to serial production.

Tungsten Heavy Alloys for Balancing Weights

CASRAM produces sintered DENSRAM®: tungsten based alloys, fulfilling the most severe requirements, on the basis of powder metallurgy techniques. Our know-how in the selection of tungsten powders, their mixing with nickel-iron or nickel-copper results in biphase materials, combining the high density of tungsten with the mechanical properties of iron or the non magnetism of copper.
The high density of DENSRAM® and the possibility to realize complex shapes with most severe tolerances make them the best solution whenever weight is needed in a small volume.
